Tissue cultures are specially grown plants for those who do not want to introduce any pests of any kind to their aquarium. These are grown in specialty labs with zero possibility of algae, snails or any other undesirables, Guaranteed.

Great beginner plant!

Anubias 'Nana' is generally an adorable little plant. It should be placed in the front, as it will stay small and reproduce through lateral nodes. Slow growing, but you'd eventually be able to break off sections for a new plant.

This variant of Nana has white and green striped leaves-- it reminds me a lot of a mini version of the Marble Queen Pothos!

These types of plants do not like to be buried, as their little roots will quickly rot. You can use thread or Cyanoacrylate super glue to attach it to rocks, driftwood, or other decorations. They stay neat and tidy!

Anubias are hardy and slow-growing. Perfect for tough livestock such as goldfish and certain chichlids. Tolerates lower light, and is pretty difficult to kill in my opinion!

One thing to note: As Anubias are slow growers, algae growth can be a concern. Just keep an eye on your parameters, and put your lights on a little plug-in timer. Six hours of light is plenty.
